Facebook has opened up the firehose of conversations data. Fandom CEO Melonie Gallegos was quoted in The Street on how marketers can benefit.

Facebook is offering topic data to a select number of clients through its partner DataSift. This data will provide marketers with summaries of opinions posted on Facebook regarding events, products, activities, brands and industries. Facebook is making this data available in hopes that marketers will be encouraged to spend more money on Facebook ads.
