Her aptitude for user-centered design led to co-founding 5 Start Plugins to provide WordPress solutions by marketers for marketers. As an early advocate for establishing industry social media best practices, she was the 2013 president of Social Media Club San Diego. These days Melonie’s passion is destigmatization of legal cannabis. She founded The Cannabiz Agency in 2018, a marijuana marketing agency and web design shop. Followed by the launch of TCA Images, modern cannabis stock images for positive marijuana branding. My claim to fame is…
Claiming my first name @melonie on Twitter. Who does that?! Me.

What mom or grandma says I do for work…
They think I “work on computers” and often ask me to fix theirs like I’m on the Geek Squad.

In high school I…
Wore Keds, rocked my Sir Mix-a-Lot mixed tape, and hella said “hella.” I’m on the cusp of Gen X and Millennial, which is awkward because my daughter is also Millennial.

My favorite food to Instagram is…
Wine.

Song I’m embarrassed I know the words to…
When Madonna’s “Lucky Star” starts playing I involuntarily sing out loud in a Minnie Mouse voice. It’s quite embarrassing.

My Facebook or Instagram guilty pleasure…
Following cute animals. I can laugh by myself at random times looking at Wally the Bunny, Boo the Dog, or mini horses on Instagram. It leads to perplexed looks from family members and co-workers.
