Sport Chalet wanted to reach athletes and parents gearing up for baseball season. To capture online shoppers beginning in the early spring when customers began researching products, Fandom Marketing created Baseball Central. We designed equipment guides and wrote articles about coaching tips to capture and engage visitors. Visitors were funneled to a “bat finder” tool developed by the client and to shop online. Baseball Central was promoted in paid search, Facebook advertising, and social media. The top performing Facebook ad, shown here, generated a 4% link CTR at just $0.18 CPC! Leading up to the season, we performed on-page SEO to capture organic search traffic. Once season hit full swing, we partnered with the client’s partner Easton Mako to run a social media sweepstakes.
The Baseball Central landing page saw a 63% boost in traffic on the first day of the sweepstakes. The sweepstakes captured 316 unique entries over two weeks, at a higher than average conversion rate of 13.2%. The contest was shared 42 times exposing it to earned audiences. In addition to traffic generation and awareness, email addresses were collected.
