11 Feb SD Bloggers 2013 Kickoff Extravaganza 2/21/2013

If you’re a blogger in San Diego, you must be a part of SD Bloggers. SD Bloggers was founded in October 2007 by Matt Browne as a Meetup group for the purpose of bloggers to network locally through lively events. To date there are 850+ bloggers who are a part of this amazing group. It’s been a little quiet over the past year, but it’s time to relaunch it. Our very own Rob Marlbrough (aka DowntownRob) gladly stepped up to take over the group this year. And in true DTR style, he’s throwing an exciting kickoff party on February 21st at Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza in Del Mar. The event is already at capacity with over 85 RSVPs but you can get added to the waiting list, and if someone cancels then spots will open up automatically. Hope to see you there.

We asked Rob how he feels about taking over SD Bloggers and what plans he has in store for the group in 2013. Here’s what he had to say.

I am very excited to be taking over the great job Matt Browne has done over the years growing the group to over 800 members strong. I remember joining the group back in 2008, not having a blog, and not sure what I’d blog about, but learned from and was inspired by others that I met through this group. I hope others enjoy the same going forward as we kick off 2013. I’d like to grow the membership and align future meetups with a great mix of networking, and sharing inspiration, motivation, tips, tricks, and guidance from others, which will make the San Diego Blogger community stronger and better connected than ever.

Sounds like it’s going to be a great year for San Diego bloggers. We hope you will join!
