16 Dec Six Social Media Marketing Conferences to Attend in 2014
There are several social media marketing conferences that happen each year. It can be overwhelming to decide on which ones to choose to attend and which ones to skip. Not only that, many of us need to justify to our managers, or to ourselves, why we need to attend.
The truth is, as marketers we need to attend at least one or two awesome conferences for three main reasons:
- To educate ourselves and stay on top of trends
- To network with like-minded professionals, meet new people and build relationships
- To be inspired and gain fresh ideas
Here are six social media marketing conferences where you can do all three.

This conference brings the best of the best in social media under one roof in America’s Finest City! content marketing world

Content Marketing is growing and becoming more relevant to everything we do as marketers, if not everything we do. Content Marketing World is the best conference to attend if you are a content marketer. It’s no wonder why it’s the largest content marketing conference in the world, given that it is hosted by Joe Pulizzi, content marketing evangelist and founder of Content Marketing Institute.
social fresh conference
If you enjoy a more intimate conference setting Social Fresh is the way to go with only 400 attendees at each location. Do you ever feel overwhelmed with a conference agenda? Do you find yourself saying, “These are all great sessions, I wish I could attend them all?” Social Fresh is a single track event so you don’t have to worry about missing a thing. Their claim to fame is that all attendees are in the same room, and all speakers share the same stage. The focus of this conference is to help educate and train businesses to be better through social media. Social Fresh hosts a conference in the West Coast and the East Coast to better accommodate marketers across the nation. Details are still in the works, but you can stay updated on their website.

Posted at 02:38h, 09 JanuarySocial Media Marketing World is definitely one not to miss. Lots of great content and so many amazing people from all over the world. Our co-founders will be supporting the event again this year. Melonie Gallegos (@Melonie) will be a track moderator and Rob Marlbrough (@downtownrob) a networking ambassador. I just might volunteer again as well. Give us a shout if you make it to San Diego. Thanks for connecting, John.
